AMC TRIO
Peter Adamkovič, piano Martin Marinčák, double bass Common cooperation of these three musicians began in 1993 when they decided to take part in a young jazz players´ competition and that´s why they started to rehearse. They were awarded there and it was an excellent beginning for them. But their cooperation was not very much intense then. Each of them participated in different projects. However, step by step they worked together more. Besides playing standards they built their own original repertoire full of hidden winningness. The tunes have been written by all three musicians. They often cross over a standard jazz border and use nonjazz musical sources. There is a strong stress laid on melodies and on a distinctive work with motifs in their compositions.

The music of AMC TRIO draws on a variety and neat tuniness of the treated themes inspired for example by pop tunes or east Slovakia folk music, too. AMC TRIO is not a one leader trio but the trio of three equal members, whose particularities brought together form one well-balanced whole. AMC trio has cooperated with many known musicians. Since 2007 AMC Trio cooperates with a guitar virtuoso, member of Oscar Peterson Quartet, Ulf Wakenius, with whom they have recorded two CD-s Soul Of The Mountain (2008) and Waiting For A Wolf (2011). In 2012 AMC have started a cooperation with legendary trumpet player, four times Grammy winner Randy Brecker. |
